Enter the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards

Awards not only acknowledge success; they recognise many other qualities: ability, struggle, effort and, above all, excellence.

We want to hear from businesses that call Scotland home and are proud of what they have achieved over the past year. From startup artisan producers, through to well established industry powerhouses, we want to experience a taste of your very best. With a mix of taste-led and business-led categories, the Awards offer something for everyone.

Take a look at this year’s categories to find the best fit for your business.

What's new for 2023

We’ve made a few changes to the format and categories this year to better reflect the growing diversity of Scotland’s food and drink businesses.

Distilling Product of the Year’ has been split into two separate categories; ‘Distilling Product of the Year - White Spirits’ and ‘Distilling Product of the Year - Dark Spirits’.

Due to the high volume of interest in the category, we have introduced a standalone award for ‘Soft Drink Product of the Year’. This used to be tucked away in ‘Confectionery Product of the Year’ but now it has the prominence it deserves.

We have also added cider entries to the existing beer category, renaming the new category, ‘Beer & Cider Product of the Year’.

One of the most gratifying aspects of last year’s awards was how well received our new categories were. The introduction of ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Free From’ got a firm thumbs up from entrants and attendees alike and helped to showcase the innovation, forward-thinking and invention of our sector.
